I'm 21 weeks, and it was a 2-D ultrasound. The lady was very sure of herself, though, and I've never had a problem with the clinic I go to (I've been going there my whole life).

I know that there's always a chance of inaccuracy, but the tech said that the baby "was giving a clear view of HER parts".

How accurate is this? Is it safe for me to start decorating the nursery?

I would say it is safe. That is her job. depending on how long she has done her job, that is how accurate she would be. If you are 21 weeks, then that is a great age to tell gender. I would give it a 99% chance she is right. good luck and congrats.

most ultrasounds at 20 weeks and beyond are pretty accurate, but it also depends on how the baby is laying. it may appear one way and then turn out to be another way. throughout your pregnancy you will have a few ultrasounds and if anything changes, your dr will be able to tell and will tell you if the sex has changed or not. sometimes they don't get a clear view when they tell you at first.

sure there is continually conceivable they are incorrect it truly is not one hundred%. They instructed me women and that i had 2 boys yet this time round they say they are positive it truly is a boy and confirmed me the penis this time. in case your infant had the legs huge open besides the undeniable fact that and they were given a sturdy seem then they could be extra likely to be ideal.
