On an old computer I no longer have I used a program from http://www.cyberscrub.com to manually erase the entire folder and program then manually went into my registry then deleted the mcafee entries on my own after doing that. I opened the file search feature in the start bar looking for all leftover mcafee files and got about 98% of what was left and then just forgot about the program, Norton was way better until the day at my freidns house when it literally exploded.

Re-install McAffee to get the files back and do an unistall after the re-installation. The uninstall routine should work now since all the missing files are back.

Did you go to the Mcafee website for further uninstall procedure? Go to ccleaner .com and download the free registry cleaner, that may help.
