No type of music is necessarily "black" or "white". Sure, there are certain TYPES of music that one race MAY lean towards - for example, many African Americans listen to rap (sorry, it's just the easiest stereotype to go with) - but that doesn't mean that rap is "black" music or that ALL African Americans listen to rap music. There are different genres of music, but you needn't apply racial categories.

I think that it's definitely okay to listen to any kind of music no matter what race you are. But, however, different races sometimes tend to listen to certain types of music more than others, mostly because that is where that type of music originated from. It's not racist, it's just the way that our heritage, which isn't wrong, it's something to be proud of! But again, no matter what race you are, it's okay to listen to all kinds of music.

Breaking music into categories such as black or white is stereo-typical. Not all black people like "black" music and not all white people like "white" music. Similarly, different ethnicities make music in the same genres. As the previous Answerer stated there are only genres.
