You mean for their parents around the house? By age 10 they can help with everything wit a little guidance....guidance with laundry and cooking they can clean floors or dust or clean their rooms themselves. I don't think a 10 year old can have a real job, they are too young. At 12 you can babysit.

For a weekly allowance my 12 year old son; cleans his room, takes out the trash, scoops the litter box, empties the dishwasher, washes his own clothes and keeps his bathroom straightened ( although I still have to tell him to do any or all of these things and if the bedroom or bathroom need actual cleaning mom still does it.)

I did something rather unique with my 8 year old - I had him write down as many cjores as he could name and then detail what he THOUGHT he should be compensated ($5.00 to water a plant!) I think you may be surprised of what your child will tell you that they can perform .... and also what needs to be done around the house!

Shoveling the driveway, mowing the lawn, typical household chores..... for the neighbors and friends. You should already be doing this in your own house for free (just to have a roof over your head and food in your tummy is payment enough!).

mow lawns, do housework/yardwork, wash cars, walk dogs, water plants and feed animals when people are away
If you're thinking more of your own child in your own house, he/she can help cook, help with the dishes, clean up his/her own room, help clean the rest of the house, take care of younger siblings, help take care of the yard....etc....

they could clean up their rooms and then help the mom cook or go and help your neighbor on something. if you like fun then go with your bicicle and go buy something that your mom needs.
