I'm about five weeks pregnant and I'm really concerned about using a laptop. Sometimes I keep it on my knees and sometimes on a pillow over my tummy. I do not know if it's safe for my baby. I have read a lot about monitors, but I cannot find anything about laptop as a whole device.

Q: I am using my laptop over my lap for long hours. I am 11 weeks pregnant. Can this be harmful for the fetus?

A: There really should be no radiation issues associated with you using your laptop or any computer during your pregnancy. Since consumer protection laws have been passed limiting the amounts and types of emissions from these devices, they can safely (from a radiation standpoint) be used during pregnancy.

Is it safe to be around computers all day when I'm pregnant?

Because computers are ubiquitous, researchers have spent millions of dollars studying whether sitting in front of one causes birth defects or miscarriage -- and determined that there's no evidence that it does. Of course, sitting anywhere for hours on end won't do you any good, so get up and walk around every few hours.

I actually have my pc on my legs continually with the audio equipment ideal by my bump. It hasn't led to and wont reason any consequences on an unborn toddler. only ensure that you do take a spoil each so many times to stretch your legs and to stay away from the nice and cozy temperature from the pc getting too a lot. after I pay interest to track or use IM the sound makes my infant kick lol so I now placed pc on silent lol. sturdy success along with your being pregnant x x x x x x x

I haven't heard anything about either, and I am sure that there are more harmful things you can do to your baby, like drinking or smoking. My wife uses her laptop on almost a daily basis, and no problems that we know about as of yet.
