well there are different names for the different sizes of poops youre taking. Im not just saying this off the top of my head but i noticed that people use different terms depending on how bad they have to go =P
going from smallest to largest: poop, crap, sh*t, huge(gigantic, big, enormous, ect.) sh*t, dump, load, and the mother off all of them is breaking in the john or annihilating the can.

The "can" you make fun of came about when airmen & our fighting men on the ground in the big WW2 were flying in the old prop planes known to be slow.
Before taking off usually a hot meal was their send off and a few hours into the flight the ole stomach started to act up and something had to go!
Bathrooms just wasn't in the aircraft design back then so to facilitate bowel movements a CAN was used and discarded upon returning to Tera-fer ma.

When I was a kid we called it doing a doodoo (or dooey) - or "doing the do", but that means something different nowadays.
