I don't know where you live, but IF you drive ALONE anywhere, anytime with JUST a Learner's Permit AND GET CAUGHT, either by getting into a collision or by the police, you will be suspended from obtaining that licence for a certain period of time (anywhere from 3 months to who knows). Also, you will run the risk of injuring someone which could result in being sued, or your parents being sued. They could lose their house and their livelihood.
If you get your parents' permission to go out into their field in an old vehicle (if you live on a farm), that could be a solution.
Otherwise, I wouldn't chance it. It's not worth the risk, and you have very limited skills at this point. That is why there is a Driver's Test........to make sure you DO have the necessary skills to handle yourself on the road, and that you KNOW the Rules of the Road.
THINK AND DRIVE.......

If Tennessee law does not recognize sex changes then they may not allow this either. But keep in mind, the gender listed on your drivers license isn't always your legal gender. I'll explain. But first, let's talk about the permit. When going for your permit, you may be required to provide some sort of birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport or other document to confirm who you are. If you have a social security number, it will be in the data base (including your sex) and they WILL cross check it along with state records. Now let's talk "legal sex"- If you were born in Tennessee, you will not be able to change your birth certificate, since they don't recognize sex changes. This means you will not be able to "legally" change your sex. The listed sex on your birth certificate determines your "legal sex". If you moved to another state you may be able to get a license or I.D. with your preferred gender, but that will depend on each state's guidelines. But keep in mind... your "legal sex" will still be what's on your birth certificate. Do it the legal way...If you really want "F" on your license, see a gender therapist and follow the guidelines set forth, as most states follow them. Then move to a state that will honor the GID guidelines and go get your license. As for changing your birth certificate, that's up to the GLBT community's legal activists and the voters to change the law in Tennesse. Best Wishes.

i would not advise it because if you get stopped you will have to wait to get your drivers license. You have to have someone with a valid drivers license with you when you drive. Do you really want to take that chance.I did it but do not think you should.
