ok " have the timing check" how do you do this when there is no diss?????????????

I don't know if its the same thing I'm thing of that's going here
some times the fuel pump will let the fuel in the system bleed back in to the tank and you need to crank it a few times so it will build up pressure again any easy why to check this is to hook up fuel pressure gauge turn the key a few times to run the pump till the pressure on the gauge will not go up any more turn the key to off check your pressure reading walk away for 1/2 hour or so and check the reading again if it has dropped of by a lot ( it will drop some but more then15lbs is a lot ) the fuel pump is bleeding off
good luck!!!

Check tune condition, all that is required is a set of plugs and a new fuel filter. If the plugs are good, replace the fuel filter. If that doesn't help, check the maximum spark output at each wire. Spark should be strong and consistent. Check the connections on all the plug wires for signs of carbon tracking or corrosion. If any sign, replace all of them!! This was the weakest link of this motor and a GM recall if I remember right. If this doesn't help, get the PCM scanned to see if there are codes as these could be clues to what is happening. Finally, you will probably be looking at a new fuel pump as it is probably leaking pressure internally. Good luck.

You might try cleaning the throttle body. Take the air inlet duct off of the throttle body and use some carb cleaner spray to clean out the bore and throttle plate. Don't spray too much into it or you can flood the engine out.

Also be sure that the car has a strong battery. If it is turning over too slowly, the engine will take longer to start.
