yr default printer could be wrong
to fix this go to...
start
control panel
printers and other
and select yr printer
either that or yr printer isnt plugged in

First of all check all of the things other posters said. If they dont work, delete your printer under the "Printers and Faxes" folder. Next check your manufacturer's website and search for the correct driver for your printer model. Most come with an exe installer. If not, you can just use Window's Add hardware Wizard to install the driver.
