What can anyone say about this product, I'am having a hard time getting it to do anything for me.

Make sure you have the Service pack 2 for Win XP before install the video capture device. I used a capture device opn my pc years ago but it's not very good at that. You're better off with a stand alone DVD-Recorder, it's a lot easier to use and it does the same thing.
