What do people do at their Sweet 16th?
I'm having a sweet 16th party in a few months and I was wondering what people do there? What kind of clothes do I wear? What kind of music? Dances? And if your actual birthday's on a week day, do you have it the weekend before or after?

I know what a sweet 16 is! I just wanna know what ppl do there. I know what ppl do there but just PLEASE answer my question.

you have it on the weekend before, its supposed to be a celebration of turning 16, not having turned already. wear what you feel comfortable in, or use it as an excuse to buy a new dress or outfit. play the music YOU like, of course. and host the party somewhere fun with activities, like an indoor waterpark, video arcade, karaoke place, or have a sleep over!

For my 16th I had a party at my house. I just had all my friends come over played music ( whatever music you like) danced, ordered a sh*t load of pizzas and just hung out. I would have it on the weekend after just so you can say you are 16 already =)

It's a big nice Party were is celebrated that you become a lady and it symbolises your introduction to society as a lady. The music and other detail really depent on the envirement you like, there a lot of details to it that you might want to look into, search on the net or read a book. ;0) The most important is for you to have fun because the party is for you!

the sweet 16s i have been to are just like a dance party with a DJ ussually at some kind of party room at a hotel or a restaraunt. There is ussually some kind of food like appetizers not like a full out meal cause people are dancing. They range all different types of dress from casual to fancy depending on the location. Also some people just have a brunch with their close girl friends. Depends on your style of partying i guess!?

I think having it the weekend after your b-day. You want to wear a dress and have seven or eight other friends (your age) to be in a dance as the main thing that usually goes on oh and have them find guys to dance with or you could do that too and find yourself a guy to dance with too. All that people do there is have fun and dance and yeah the music needs some rap, and tejano but more rap than tejano ik

Usually, an event like this is formal. Yuo play the kind of music you and your guests would like. If your birthday is during the week, it is best to have it after.

u eat ,dance ,cut the cake, and dance somemore. Most sweet 16 havean theme ex stars or the moonlight and then u plane your appreal dressed on that.

You can do whatever you think is fun! It's pretty easy to have a party if you think of a theme... like a hawian or 80's or something like that.
if your b-day is during the week it doesn't really matter if you have it the week before or after. just whenever you want ;)

well all the ones ive been to ended up with drugs or alc involved so i left so only invite the people that u trust and like not the pot heads
