p.s what's happened to the yellow/cancer one that everyone and their dog had a couple of years back????

Those got so played so fast.

The Onion sells a yellow wristband that says "Cheat To Win." No charity benefits. :-)

Seriously, if you want to donate, just donate. Even five dollars is appreciated by worthwhile charities.

just like the yellow magnet ribbons for your car, we really did have someone if Iraq and we baught it in a fund raiser for the troops. Other people followed the trend and baught ones from wall mart that money went to walmart not the troops

so when ppl do it at first its for the charities the people who do it after it becomes a fashon are only fashon victoms...but really they are posers and posers drive me up the wall

Personally I think it is a combination of bragging that one has donated, and is an advert for the charity. Supposedly the more money they take in, the more people can be helped.
I only donate to animal charities and on rare cases to others.

Why can't they be both?
Who cares if people wear them to look 'fashinable', as long as they raise some money for a good cause?
