The experts have said Michigan, Usc, Florida, Auburn are the front runners. Michigan has a Q.B recruit named Ryan Mallette coming to Michigan next year. They say he's actually the best Q.B in the country.

They claim he's much better then the #1 ranked Clausen kid that's going to Notre Dame. In the army all - american game his numbers were twice as good as Clausens though they both played for the same team.

First of all the Army all-american game means nothing because they dont have time to get into a groove. They get about 5-7 passes. And jimmy clausen is much better. In one of his games he went 7/8 245 yds and 3 tds in the first half. Notre dame is going to win it all next year.

1. the preseason rankings are based on AP polls through media outlets. the coaches will each vote starting week 3.. it really is a popularity contest with some basis on last years results. the BCS is completely based on a computer algorithm of calculations of supposedly record, strength of schedule and other factors, conference wins vs non conference wins, ranked wins and other factors.. it is controversial and no one really knows the formula so they feel a playoff system should be implemented. 2. pac 10, SEC, big 10, big 12 and ACC are the biggest, there are some minor conferences (such as Sunbelt conference) and independent conferences/schools as well, mostly the biggest schools/games are from the 5 conferences mentioned (barring Notre Dame which is independent but makes the headlines alot). The conferences with championship games are the SEC, Big 12, and ACC the winners of the two divisions within each conference (such as SEC west and SEC east) will battle for the overall Conference championship. 3. there are many many bowls, they are debatable on which ones are major or not, like some will say the sugar and fiesta bowls are big, but most will agree the Orange bowl and Rose bowl are two of the biggest. An at "large team" is a team that made a bowl based on invitation and not through the BCS listing.. say a team played well, but came from a smaller conference or was a smaller school and the BCS didn't pick them to go to a bowl game, a committee (i believe) acknowledges their efforts by offering them a spot in a bowl game, basically bypassing the BCS.. this happens more in Basketball where teams that didn't earn the right to be in the tournament are awarded spots, but it can also happen in other sports. It would be compared to a wild card spot in professional sports from my understanding. The BCS championship is a (technical) bowl game pitting the top two teams in the BCS standings against each other to determine the best overall NCAA college football team. 4. there are 12 games.. the 13 total comes from the twelve and a bowl game and the 14 total comes from the 12 plus conference championship and a bowl game.

USC is undoubtly one of the best football programs there is out there. and proud to be a trojan but if they can get Booty better numbers. and Michigan may be up there right next to them. but you have to remember who won the rose bowl. the trojans. and predictions say that whoever won that game would be a possible national champions for the 07-08 year. so we'll just have to see about that. but another national champion title wouldn't hurt Pete Carroll.haha

Even with a couple of guys declaring for the draft, i think it will be USC, because they have a lot of depth Patrick Turner to "plug in" at receiver and they don't lose a lot of depth anywhere, so it could be a romp to the title, barring any serious injuries.
