And your every move was being recorded 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? I would feel so violated!

This movie was OK, but it did provoke a lot of thought and discussion with my date when we went to see it.

In fact, some religions believe that our lives are being recorded by their God(s), and that we will be judged by the content of our lives that will be played at some point after death.

Many reality TV shows record participants lives 24/7, but this is with full knowledge of everyone involved, for a limited amount of time, and there is a financial incentive to do so.

If you think about it, everyones' lives are a part of a larger picture that is being played out. What if you had never been born, or if you had chosen a different career path, religion, occupation, or spouse. The movies, It's A Wonderful Life, The Butterfly Effect, The Family Man, and some others address this issue.

If my life were being recorded like in the Truman Show, I would feel violated. It would be unethical for this to be done to someone without their knowledge or consent, especially for profit.

Well, on the one hand, I suppose people would actually *know* how weird I was, and/or how much my problems in life (my mood disorder, being dirt poor) drain me of my energy and motivation....

But yeah. It would be bad. I'd be so freaked out....hell, I am freaked out sometimes anyway because it does, on occasion, look like my apartment's been "sneaked and peeked" already....god only knows why. O_O

But the truly sad part is....Who. On. EARTH. Would. Watch??

Really, I have one of the lamest, dullest, most boring *real life lives* like ever. =)) Seriously, I'm about as lame as it gets, who in their right minds would be *entertained* by watching ME? I can't even get a freaking lady to stick around long enough for me to have a damn *date*, ok?

Why would anyone be interested in watching me? I mean, yeah, I'm a nobody in spite of my best efforts, I've more or less given up those efforts since turning 40, but still....I'm a NOBODY.

Geez....I'd be worse for ratings than, oh.....I don't *know*, watching a PBS Special....about *bituminous Coal*. Yep, just the low-yield, high sulfur *crap* version of it. :p
