Is this a joke question because websight should be website I'm afraid! Spelt is totally wrong and there should be a capital w at the beginning of a sentence! Sorry but I'm being condescending now!

Because, obviously most of these people would rather get the point's, than care about how they spell things more appropriately. And correctly. I agree with you on this one! There's been some I've read in the past with so many initials in their answer's, that I felt sort of behind on the times! But, some of these people dont even know what the initials mean, and they use them anyway. Now that's sad! Smile!!!

Spelt?

This site attracts young people who (although they claim to both not care about spelling, and also claim that they know better) do NOT know better. Spelling is not closely taught in schools these days, nor are the rules of the English language. Even where minimum lessons are taught, they are totally undone by Texting and on-line messaging where abbreviations and aberrations are encouraged by some and endured by the rest of us.

Because people are either lazy, or ignorant. Personally, I'm a stickler for correct spelling, grammar and pronunciation. (Latte is pronounced lah-teh, not lah-tay. It's Italian.)
