Companies hire people based on the companies needs and that person's qualifications. Jobs are not given to people based on the number of children a person has. A person with 5 kids is not necessarily a better worker than a person with 2 kids.

Being rejected by a dozen or so companies with or without kids is often how we find out what we are made of and where we want to be in the future. Rejection is just one step closer to where we go, if the company that rejects you because you have kids to raise just means that they were not the right company for you. There are many companies, both small and large corporations, that also have daycare. You just have to "WORK" harder at finding the right fit for you. Don't get discouraged at the amount of rejections but look at it as the amount of oppourtunities that will open up because they did reject you. Good luck on your search and I hope this encourages you to look deeper and further into yourself to find the right job.

This can really get you down but you have to keep going. I think the way to do it is do not convince your self that you want every job you apply for. You need to keep looking, sending out resumes or application as much as you can. If you get an interview do the best job you can to give a good impression. Find out what you can about the company so you can sound interested and knowledgeable about their business. Say as sincerely as you can that you are int rested in the job.
After you have done all you can forget the company and move on to the next opportunity don't let yourself get wrapped up in getting the job you applied for. If it happens that's great but this is not in your control or your fault if it doesn't happen.
Rather than just chasing the job you want try to find any job. Consider this a temporary thing while you look for something better. It is far easier to find a job when you have one and are not desperate.
Good luck!

I know it is not a great job but if you go for a catering job especially in a school you may find this a bit easier. Or if your children are very young go to an agency, you can choose when you want time off, accrue holiday pay but you will have to settle for minimum wage. Better than nothing and if you are on minimum wage and need help you can claim benefits to up your money LEGALLY! Good luck!

request family friendly jobs only......look for a small company I mean a bit bigger thaN Mom and Pop, but that the owner is still hands on...they can be more sensitive to family...especially if you bring your kids into meet them later on down the road...be straight forward with how important parenting is too you....if they are a neglectful parent themselves you might just guilt them into hiring you
