I do love bella jay. and i agree with some of the others that carter luke doesnt quite gel together. another answerer suggested carter lucas and i think that sounds a little bit better if you really wanted luke as a middle name and not a first name

From my own experience, do not use a name that has the initials "B.J." I still, to this day ask my parents what they were thinking when they gave me my initials. Even if you do not think of it, others will, so be sure to look into initials very well before deciding on a full name. I do agree, however that "Bella-Jay" is beautiful, but it does carry the negative conotation of "b*** j**". I think "Lucas Carter" or Carter Lucas" is better then "Carter Luke" as well. Good luck on this difficult task of finding the right and smart name for your baby!

I agree I think that it should be Luke Carter, but Bella Jay that is too cute.I like Carter Luke too, just prefer it the other way. What does your boyfriend think of those names? We are also having a hard with names too. Best of luck

I love Bella Jay! It flows so smoothly. I love how you came up with the middle name!! I like Carter Luke, too. All in all, I like both your names, but leave out the hyphens. It looks tacky.

Will the names be hyphenated? I love the name Bella myself, it's a very sweet name for a girl especially since...doesn't it mean "beautiful" in several languages? ^__^ I like the boy's name too, but what about Luke-Carter as a possibility? Or just Luke. It's great you want to be original though!

Bella-jay is very cute but the oder of the boys name doesn't sound right. It needs to be the other way around to sounds better like Luke-Carter and then it sounds great!
