Its not the disc. Its you playstation. I've played black ps1 games on my playstation 2. I've even played the Sims 2 on my PS2. You should take it somewhere to get someone to look at it.

I havent used my PS2 in a while but i believe the blue ones are cd's as opposed to dvds. Is your playstation standing up? If it isnt then try standing your playstation (so it looks like a tower). If it is then your lens is to warped to be corrected by something like that.

after the inital launch of the PS2 sony switched from a glass lens to a plastic one. Over time the plastics gets hot and warps. If this is the case, it will most likely be easier for you to get another PS2 than trying to repair it. Or you could look into the next-gen systems if the funds are available to you. I'm particularly fond of the Wii.

hmm i could anticipate that from the fat sort umm it must be because of the fact ur device is purely dieing. PS2 sucks umm. attempt putting a ps1 game interior and if supplies u a disk study blunders or something than ur device is going, my previous ps2s actually ruined my video games it tryed reading it so stressful than it like melted my disk it exchange into extraordinary so now my disks wont run in a sparkling one >_> try Ps1 video games in it and in the event that they dontt artwork than u want a sparkling one >_>

The slim PS2 has a slight differ from the big one can you guess it? That's right you guy it reads Blu-ray discs. I feel like Dora the explorer (Everyone ignores my questions lol)

Does it make a scratchy noise like it's trying to read them? Don't be afraid and do what I do, whack it on the top a couple times, a little at the back, right where the lens is inside, that works for me.
