Top. There's a funny [although not really] story to it...
When I was 4, my sister who was 8 and I shared a bunk bed. She was always on top and I wondered why. One night I wanted to sleep on the top and my mom said I probably should but when I got up there I started seeing scary skeletally deformed living dead things, and I immediately forced my sleeping sister back up because it was much 'safer' on the bottom near the closet where the light was left on for me. That bunk bed moved on, and I got a new one when I was 11 or 12 but nobody slept on the bottom bunk except for my sister when guests had to use her room. Then I loved the top and hated the bottom because I had no night light and I was STILL afraid of the dark and the top felt much safer. No living dead then, but I was scared of murderers who would hopefully take my sister first. And the top made me feel airier and better.
I am glad to say that I am now the proud owner of a queen bed xD
