Starting at the beginning:

1. Download & Install iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

2. To automatically import a CD open iTunes go (top left taskbar)
Edit - Preferences - Advanced - Importing and on the drop down dialogue box asking 'On CD Insert' choose 'Import CD'. You can also choose the type of recording you want done here (MP3, AAc etc) and bitrate (quality, the higher the bitrate the more room it takes up)

3. With iTunes still open put the disc to copied in the CD drive. If you leave your internet connection running it will tracklist the CD for you. It then copies the songs to your iTunes Music folder.

4. Once you are happy with the number of songs in your Music folder connect the iPod using the supplied cable and register your details (name your iPod if you haven't already done so) and it'll export the chosen songs in your music folder to your iPod.

Job Done! Once you've got the hang of things you can mess around with the controls like manually managing which songs are imported and creating playlists.

If you want Album Art displayed on your iPod there's a handy little program called 'iTunes Art Importer' that you can download free from http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml (the built in iTunes Album Art function is crap, this one does a better job)

when you bought your ipod it brought a software. Install that software. Once installed, you load up the cd you want. In your apple ipod library the cd should pop up with all the songs listed. On the left of every song there is a check mark. check the songs you want on your ipod then you go the top right click burn ( round icon ). That should do it. P.S. don't forget to update your ipod library. Go to file for that. do not disconnect ipod until process is done.

something will pop up asking you whether you want to transfer songs......say yes
take the check off the songs you don't want
wait for them to load on to your library

You put the cd in the computer, plug the ipod into the computer, and then choose the copy button or the rip button

Use your computer to copy from the CD in to WMA format. Then download a CD to MP3 ripper, convert the file, and you're off.
