I'm in high school, any makeup suggestions?

I'm 16 and I'm kind of shy. I've never worn makeup to school before... Do you have any suggestions, please? I dunno, I just thought it would be nice if someone besides my mother told me that I was pretty.

I have very long (mid-back) brownish hair that everyone calls blonde (I don't know why), the sort of blue-gray-green eyes that change color depending on what you're wearing, fair skin, and a few freckles.

Oh, and I usually wear glasses. But I really should wear contacts more often.

You look cute!!

I would suggest wearing light make-up, maybe even sticking with just an eye liner (LIGHT) and mascara. That's it.

Eventually you'll love yourself and won't need other people to tell you.

You're a natural beauty, avoid foundation altogether, it'll ruin your complexion.

All you need is a little mascara and maybe some lipstick. Try no maintenance Lipfinity by L'oreal, or Outlast by Covergirl. Both these products are a lighter colour on your lips than they appear in the tube. They are indelible and will stay put all day, with only a gloss top coat to keep your lips moist. Covergirl Exact Lash mascara goes on great, finding tiny lashes with no gloppy clumps. It will let you keep your natural look, while bringing out your eyes. If you want to use an eye shadow, try navy blue, but always use a blush brush (dedicated to your eyes) to dust off most of what you apply. That way your shadow will be just that, a shadow and not a flash of colour every time you blink.

The best makeup advice I can give is to keep it minimal. Start a skin care regimen. Cleanse and moisturize twice daily and use sunscreen everyday. This is hands down the best thing you can do for long term beauty. It will keep you skin healthy and youthful for years. When you do wear makeup, wash it off at night before you go to sleep. DO NOT skip this step!

As to makeup, natural tones. Rather than painting your face so it scream, "look, blue goo on my eyes and bright pink cheeks!" try gentle neutral tones that will highlight your features- bring out your eyes and cheekbones with careful shading. To emphasize your eyes, try mascara on only the upper lashes- and NOT black! A nice brown that isn't too much darker than your natural lashes.

The most beautiful makeup is the makeup nobody quite knows you're wearing. You, not your beauty products, are what you want to grab attention.

You're a very pretty girl. You don't need lots of makeup. Just a little bit will accent your already existing beauty.

You have such a wonderful skin and hair color. You are naturally pretty and have a lot of color to your face so you dont need much. My suggestions wouldnt consist of much. I would never suggest foundation, your freckles are great and you should show them off. I would only wear a little blush. A very light pink. Just sweep it across your cheeks upward. Then for your eyes I would suggest a light brown eyeliner,black may be a little to dark for your skin during the day..but It may be fun to play with at night!! Actually, you are quite beautiful just as you are. And as you get a little older, you will find that guys want to know what a girl is going to look like without the warpaint we call makeup. And girls that have naturally beautiful skin and features start to win out every time.

You are 16yrs old, and while it seems like it is the most important time in your life, you are eventually going to look back at how foolish everyone acted.

Stay away from makeup as much as you can. With your natural good looks, the guys that look for more will see you clearly without it. Now... where were you when I was 16??? Hubba Hubba!

i'm in the 7th grade and i KNOW that i am too young to wear make up but.. :)

lol but the thing is, i'm probably a very bad assist because first thing i am way younger than you and second, i have the complete opposite features.
i have jet black hair, very tan skin, and dark brown eyes.

as a fair skinned high schooler, i think for your eyes, you should try dark brown eyeliner. Try a line on your top eyelid, then on your bottom.
then apply 2 coats of mascara. Use a nonclump mascara(covergirl or dior lash extender i think what its called).

You can use some foundation, but i never use it.
too much makes your skin looks caky and its not very good for your skin..

For lips, use a frosty pink lipgloss of light shaded lip stick, with a top coat of lipgloss.

go light on makeup.
try bare essentuals (thats what i use and im 15) alot of people think im not wearing any makeup and my skin is naturally that even because the minerals really blend well into the skin.

also try some blush or bronzer on the cheeks.

definatly mascara, eyeliner is ur choice.

and some clear lipgloss.

you should be good to go, u dont need much makeup.

As you aren't very experienced with make up, just try little bits here and there. for instance, when i started wearing make up i only used to use a bit of mascara because i have short eye lashes and some tinted lip balm. you are very pretty without makeup. Just remember the natural look is what most guys like. less is more!!

well i think your beautiful, as in you have what they call natural beauty. you don't need alot of make up, i would just go with a powder & foundation to even out your skin tone, even bare minerals will be a great product for you since you have beautiful skin. since you haven't worn make up you should start off easy, using a little eyeshadow, and black mascara to lengthen your eyelashes and to bring out your eyes, you can also go to an ULTA store and they can do a free consultation for you, and show you the best make up for your skin type.

you have natural beauty.. thats a lucky thing .
youshould stick with neutral colours and shades.
seeing as its your first time using makeup stick with a simple light foundation a mascara a bronzer or blush for the cheeks and a tinted lipgloss.

bare essentials is good for first time users. its easy to blend in with out getting that messy looking mask...
