Who else thinks the school system is f'd up?

It's unfair that we can't wear hats in school! It's unfair that so many old hag teachers won't let us listen to headphones! It's unfair that we have to do community service in order to graduate! You could be a straight A student and still not graduate 'cause you didn't help somebody pick up their trash or whatever. Lazy bums! That's somebody else's job! I wanna get school over with, and get on with my life! After 15 years of hell, I deserve it after making it this far! I don't deserve more and more after I've done so much! Whoever it was that told me high school got easier as you went along is an idiot.

Wow... Didn't know I'd piss so many people off. I might add that I also think it's wrong the way they handle the problem of another Columbine. Why don't they get cops to guard the school? They have security cameras, but are they ever WATCHING? One time, about two years ago, I was with a friend in the very unused hallway, and I slipped him a cigarette. It wasn't until later that I noticed the camera, but nothing EVER happened. So I did it again once, and again, nothing happened. To this day I've never gotten talked to about it. Also with locker checks! They bring in security dogs to sniff out drugs, and never find a damn thing. Maybe they just don't wanna say so on the intercom, or maybe it's too easy to hide stuff. I remember I once hid my friend's weed in my locker and nobody ever found out. I just think the school system is insufficient!

I think there are serious problems with the school system, but not for the reasons you claim.

Why should you be able to use headphones? Then you can't hear what the teacher is saying.

You should do community service. You're the lazy bum!

There are more important things in life then whether or not you can wear a hat in school.

YOU HAVE A LOT TO LEARN, KID....
First of all, if you knew anything about respect, it is not proper to wear a hat inside. Military are absolutely NOT to wear their "cover" (hat) inside anywhere. It's just a practice very common in a lot of places, school included.
HEADPHONES??? If you have the brains to listen, you should have the brains to understand you're listening to the teacher's, not music... and study halls or extra time is for just that, not listening to tunes. Keep the tunes for outside of school.
Community Service is to get the "LAZY BUMS" to learn how to help others and possibly learn the gratification of being a help to those who need it. All of these "rules" that are just making your life hell, are enforced for you to be a better person when (and if) you graduate. Just wait until you get out into the REAL world... you will have a RUDE awakening!!!

I love your definition. I thought it would be about how much of our TAXES are wasted on brain dead morons who should have been sent down a coal mine years ago, and then had some sense whipped in to them.

Kids these days, they don't know they're born. I used to walk 10 miles a day to school, with no shoes unless there was three foot of snow, and that after doing a 20 hour shift in t'mill, and all for twopence a week -if I were lucky.

I think our educational system is completely lacking in what it is actually supposed to do. They seem more concerned with making sure everyones feelings dont get hurt rather than preparing our future leaders for the future.
