Here is a link of suicide statistics in the U.S. for the year 2004. There were exactly 4,316 suicide deaths in the 15-24 age group. It also goes on to say that there were 285 additional suicides among those younger than 15. This comes out to a total of approximately 4,600 --- an average of 12 per day.

Very heartbreaking, and way too many --- even one is way too many. :(

In the world, I've heard around 30 or 40 people per day. The united states makes up about half of this number :(
