A teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of lukewarm or warm water works, and it's safe.

After a friend of mine had gallbladder surgery, the nurses suggested getting into a hands and knees position in bed and leaning down onto a pillow. This "butt-in-air" technique will convince the air to go up and out rather than being stuck in limbo.
My friend said it actually worked, so I tell my kids to do that when they have what we lovingly refer to as "the Air Bubbles." They claim it works.
This might bide you some time to get to the store for some Gas-X?
Hope it works?!

heres the secret to trapped wind, 1.) lie on your back, 2.) put your feet on the floor with you knees bent 3.) wait for the magic to happen. lmao I suggest you get her to a doctor to prescribe her something, it doesn't hurt to be careful. Massaging her stomach wont really do much for her, ir she can't pass the gas herself then maybe she needs some tablets to help break it down. Does she hold the gas in?

Camomile tea will help with any intestinal cramps/spasms. It is also good if drunk regular to help prevent spasms from wind, menstrual cramps and is a good sleep aid. Fennel tea or peppermint tea could also help. Try which ever you have or your daughter would be happy to drink.
Hope this helps.

She needs to be upside for a while. It will move the air. Have her hang upside down off the side of the bed or couch, etc, as long as she is comfortable doing so, then come back up slowly. It works.

You could call Ask a Nurse. 411 could give you the number. My mom used to call when I was a kid. I know she called about a year ago too. Not sure if it's available everywhere though.

My mother works at a hospital so I asked for her advice. She says to give your daughter a little bit of soda. Use gingerale or 7up and to have her move around.
