Think about the romance between the two first of all... how many days went by? wasn't it love at first sight... and Romeo was infatuated with Rosaline not moments before he saw Juliet? Also consider the whole suicide element, after the potion from the apothecary... did either stop to think a. about the logic behind the parents feud... I also remember the apothecary warning him if I'm not mistaken... read that to see if it helps... usually the quotes from adults will speak more of reason and the children rush headlong into love, emotions driving them to behave impulsively or rashly... which once again ends in tragedy

Have you read the play? It has been a while since I have read the play or saw the movie.

I can think of several instances where emotion motivates the characters-just think of Romeo and Juliet themselves. The risks that Romeo took to see Juliet. The fights between the Montagues and Capulets- including the sword fight that involves Romeo near the end of the play. What does Mercuito say as he dies?

There are lots of examples. Good luck.

The love between Romeo and Juliet is so strong that it leads them to disobey their family name and all reasonabilty aside they follow their own hearts or emotion which ultimatley leads to their demise.

In otherwards what that quote is saying is that the story of Romeo and Juliet is a very stong emotional story. they were reckless and in love, they could not come to their senses because of their love, which means being reasonable was out of the question. It eventually motivated Romeo and Juliet to kill themselves.

In my opinion I think that the qoute relates to Romeo and Juliet for the simple fact that they were in love. Romeo and Juliet never wanted anything more than to be together and thats when the qoute comes about. The quote simply tells you that They both decided that what was in their hearts was more important!
