Everyone says that you don't want to name your child a popular name so everyone is going for name like Nolan and Bella. I like the names that have good meanings. What do you all think about for a girl Gabriella Ruth and for a boy Luke William (the middle names and in the family but I really like the first names)?

Traditional names are great. Funky and faddish names can get a kid in a lot of trouble when they grow up. Don't put a name on a kid which he, or she, might regret later. A name might sound cute to you now, but as the child grows up they are going to have trouble over it. Like Fauntleroy, or Harcourt, or Heathcliff.

I love the name Gabriella but I'm not sure about the name Ruth. I love Luke William. It's a great choice.

I love Luke William. Gabriella is great, too. I am not crazy about Ruth, but if it's a family name, then okay.

I love them! I would suggest using Lucas or Lukas instead of Luke, just because Lukas William sounds better than Luke William.

Love the name Gabriella Ruth!

Gabriella is a little to pretentious for my tastes, but Luke William is simple and reasonably masculine. Men like names of that sort.

Yes, traditional names are just fine! In fact, these names are more likely to be uncommon. In my kid's class there are 3 Brookes but only 1 Sara. He's never had another Brian in his class, ever.

Those are lovely names.

to be honest I don't like the name Ruth but if its a family name then there's not much you can do about it and its a middle name so she won't use it much
