Hi there. I've been noticing a weird health symptom I've never had to deal with before, and I'm curious to know whats going on. All day long, when I pee or have a bowel movement, theres a sickly smell like vomit in the air around me after I've done my business. What's going on here? Just to let you know, I am Type 2 diabetic and I am also due to have my period any day now. Anyone know why I'm getting this vomit-like smell when I go to the bathroom? Another symptom I'm having as well is extreme fatigue, when I felt fine yesterday. Please help.

Sounds like you have a tract infection to me. Call your Endocrinologist and set up an appointment. He will run the necessary tests.

Without a urinalysis or a blood chemistry panel, you can't be definite about what's going on. You really should go to your doctor so he can check these things out. Since you're diabetic, what you might be smelling is ketones (although they usually make urine smell sweet.) Diabetics usually excrete a lot of ketones, so sweet-smelling urine a common finding and usually to be expected. However, your fatigue can be a troubling sign, so see a physician right away and get those labs done.

the smell of vomit is comming from the bile in your stomach comming out in your fecile matter. bile is what makes puke smell like acid and it's what gives poop the brown color. go to the doctor it may be a inbalance that needs medical attention, look into it if it doesnt clear up after your period is gone. good luck

The only think I can think of is your getting sick, sometimes you will notice the smell a few days before you actually start throwing up and having the "Bug" .

Could be infection or change in bacteria as a result from your approaching period.

I'm not a doctor, but face it, how many legitamate ones do you think you're going to get here??

I think you should schedule a doctor appointment as soon as possible instead of asking strangers.
