it could be either one. You can try system restore (which probably wont help) or you can just use RockXP to get your key and reinstall after a nice long format.

Make sure you back up your personal files if you have to reinstall Windows.

If you don't want to go quite that far, find the entry for that program (using MSConfig, or another program like it), remove the entry, and see if it worked after rebooting. You may also need unlocker (unlocks files that can't be deleted - use at your own risk), also try managing the addons for your browser. Other things you may need to do include booting to Safe Mode (Hold down F8 - the key with that label not F+8) and see if you can find the folder or files and remove them, hopefully with some kind of shredding program.

BEFORE doing any of this, backup your computer, you CAN make it unstable by doing some, if not all of these things. I hope you have your windows CD handy, you might need it.

Spyware.SpyBuddy is a commercial keylogger. Its main function is to log keystrokes and information on application use and Internet use on the compromised computer. The spyware can also capture screen shots.

In order to hide its presence on the compromised computer, Spyware.SpyBuddy can be run in stealth mode and may not install an uninstaller or shortcuts.
