My Family calls them "Holes in the wall" and everone else says that they have never heard them called that before. so Im wondering if Im alone on this one.

If i get answered i will be ecstatic

In my family we call them eggs in a hat. The diner I go to calls them holes in the wall though.

There are many, many different names for 'eggy in the basket' that you can check out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egg_in_the_basket.

It seems to just be a cultural/family thing what one person will call it over another person. Your 'holes in the wall' does seem to be a bit unique but it appears some people do call it the very similiar 'humpty in the wall'!
