for my history class i have to write a poem on youth violence there are certain requirements i need to add in it. 1. How has youth violence effected my life 2. What are the consequences of youth violence 3. What can i do about youth violence. Any ideas on what i can do?

Well, write down your ideas first. Poems don't have to rhyme. They can read like prose (paragraphs). Some lines don't have to be sentences-

For example: I saw a boy get shot today. I can still see his face.
So young. No future. Bleak.

It's not very good, but it will give you an idea how you can go about doing it without having rhymes. (Unless- your assignment means it has to rhyme)???

I saw boy get shot today.
The face, I saw, never goes away.
So young. No future. Bleak
Goals: the end of violence and hate, I seek.

Pretty bad, eh?

I don't want to do your homework for you. I just want to give you some ideas.

not sure put after writing the poem make your paper look old by crumbling it like 50 times to make it look soft and old hop that helps:)

Maybe. How long does it got to be and do it got to rhyme? I would focus on minorities, gangs, inner-city stuff, and Mexicans.
