I assume you mean one micrometer = 10^-6 meters
to change 50 micrometers to meters *10^-6
50*10^-6=5.0*10^-7

The answer is cheese. 1 micrometer is 10^-6 meters,
to change 50 micros to meters 10^-6 50*10^-6=0.5*10^-7
the answer is 0.5 meters (I think, out of irony I could've made a mistake)

50 um = 50 x 10^-6 or 5x10^-5m
0.000050m just for the heck of it.
