NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I am a huge Detroit fan and other than getting rid of Ben Wallace i think this is the dumbest thing they can do. its not gonna work between him and Rasheed. i saw somewhere that they were gonna play him at center. thats stupid. they need a defensive threat down low for one(not a ben wallace threat but A threat) and webber aint got it. theyre basically disrespecting muhamad, maxiell, and mcdyess bringing him in and i think thats gonna cause problems for them with the chemistry. he definately cant score anymore either. he has his good nights and thats it. hes not a consistent player and he is LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Webber is not an all-star. The last 4 teams he has played for expect him to be the MAN. But it didn't work. Now he can be a piece of the puzzle. At 6'10" he will be an integral part of the team. Last year he averaged 20 points and almost 11 boards a game. If the Pistons get 12 pts and 8 boards, they will be ecstatic.

Also, no they can trade Murray with either Davis or Mohammad for another guard. That will be a great benefit of adding a big man when they are hard to come by in the Eastern Conference. DETROIT BASKETBALL!!!

Look at it this way. When Billups was uninjured, the Pistons were already leading the Eastern Conference. Replace Mohammed with Webber, who puts up better and more consistent stats even if he's slower, throw in what is probably going to be great chemistry, and the Pistons would thus be even better.
So yes, I think putting Webber in would bring the Pistons from best in the conference (when Billups comes back) to miles ahead of the conference.

Not really he just made the pistons a little bit better. With him they have two scoring options off the bench.( Webber and Mcdyess ) Another big body for the rest of the small East to deal with. The Pistons still have to deal with the powers of the East. Like the Cavs, Miami when Shaq comes back, Orlando, the Wizards especially the way Agent Zero is playing (Gilbert Arenas) So it helps but not that much.

well the east is going to suck for awhile. signing webber just means the pistons and cavs are going to be good. the rest sucks right now.

No, he's too old and no longer a dominant force. He will be lucky to get 10-15 minutes a game on the Pistons......

They have to go through Miami again and we put it to them last year when they had Ben Wallace and Chris Webber doesn't defend the post very well .so i think its still wide open.
