I was wondering if anyone could tell me what movie was being referenced in Madea's Class Reunion play when Tyler Perry was playing around with the front desk clerk and he was mentioning "Didn't I tell you to come straight home from school, Penny?" Could anyone tell me? Thanks!

It wasn't a movie it was from a tv series that was aired during the 70s, called Good Times. And on the perticular episode a little girl(Penny played by Janet Jackson) was spending time with her friends and got home a little late and when she finnally came home thats what her abusive mother asked her. They show re-runs on TV1 if you ever wanted to watch it. Andf in the MOVIE (Madea's Famly Reuion) they show they part he's refering to .

sure, it truly is. ^_^ Tyler Perry used his charecter Madea in performs previously the hit video clips. there became a play named "Madea's classification Reunion" (now to not be at a loss for words with "Madea's relations Reunion). wish it helps!

It was not from a movie, I think. It was from the show GoodTimes with Janet Jackson as Penny.
I really like Tyler Perry's plays.

It is from Good Times. Penny was being abused and the mom did not want anyone to find out.
