Everyone loves Raymond because all of us were under-loved as children. We see a substitute father figure in him, and out desperate need for approval leads us to love him in the hope that it will spur him on to reciprocate.
Either that, or we love watching the tall dude make funny faces.

Loved the program. But every once in a while I'll be watching repeats and think, "does this family every NOT have a big, whining crisis?" But the good writing trumps that thought.

I like that show because it is funny. I saw all of the episodes though, so I don't watch it anymore. The funniest episode is "Bad Moon Rising." That is the one where Debra experiences PMS and Ray tries to help her. You know what? My sister also suffers from PMS. "Come on comet." Ha ha!

The show has a great ensemble cast. It appeals to the middle aged marrieds w/ kids.

never thought he was funny even doing stand up...now the mom and dad an the show were great

LOL i don't watch it often anymore but when you watch it after awhile i guess it may get a little annoying but really for a majority of people they find it hilarious!
LOL some episodes are great you should consider watching it a little =)
you might enjoy it, who knows?!!
and for people who watch it only for his wife..

I didn't watch it at first because I thought it was dumb but after awhile I saw how funny it really is. Just give it a chance.

I don't watch it either, along with Seinfield. I like most of the other shows on TBS though... lol.
