Yes, it is true. It doesn't happen that often. If you think you might be pregnant you should go to the doctor. If you are bleeding even though you are pregnant something could be wrong so you really need to get checked out.

With my first child I found out that I was pregnant fairly early on.. and I was shocked when I had my period. I was only 19, and quite ignorant to being pregnant...SO I figured I WAS NOT pregnant..My period continued to come for the next 3 months.. same flow as always same length of time as usual. I went to the doctor for my checkup, and he verified that I was almost 5 months pregnant!!! I even continued to have a period until the 7th month!! It is rare.. but it DOES happen. I delivered a healthy baby boy that is now 13 years old!! OH!! And I had my period last month at my regular time, and I just found out that I am 7 weeks pregnant!!! So congrats to me!!! LOL!!!

Its not impossible. It does happen. Ive heard of people having their period the entire pregnancy. Although that isn't normal and you should see your doctor it happens. But personally I had my period after I was pregnant only for the first month after I got pregnant but it wasn't like a typical period it was very light and only lasted like 2-3 days. But yes you can have your period...its actually alot more common than you think.

Hi,
YES it is possible! My mom had her period for 5 months after she was pregnant, with ALL 4 of us kids! Also, she wen to see the doctor and he told her that it was normal for her - some girls on my mom's side have it regularly whenever they get pregnant. So I think it's genetic in our case. But yes it is possible.
Also, it happened to my friends mom when she was 4 months pregnant all the way up until she gave birth. So yes it is possible. (her doctor said it was normal, but not genetic.)

Well, I'm no expert. Usually no...
But then you have to wonder how there are several women out there who have babies and didn't know they were pregnant to begin with (it makes the news 1-2x per year). I have heard that in very rare occasions, women still get their period while they are pregnant.

Yes. It happened to a friend of mine in high school. she thought everything was ok, then she went in for a physical for tennis and "supprise" the doctor said she was pregnant. And she hadn't done the deed anytime during those three months.

yes,
its not usualy but some women do, and some only bleed in the begining but i know someone who didn't find out she was pg until 14 weeks b/c she was having reguular consist periods, she just kept feeling sick and gaining weight so she finally went to the dr and they told her she was pg, she says she honestly had no idea and was completley shocked (i believe her).
