My 10 month old rarely gets out (maybe once a week - Only twice so far this new year) - Is this detrimental to her health? My hubby at i work alot and i stay at home full time and work so its hard to get out everyday - am i ruining my child's developmental skills by keeping her at home so much?

She needs to get outside.. babies learn by everything they see. She should be outdoors to take in everything and also to get vitamin D from sunshine. It helps with mental health too to get outside. I would definitely take her out at least once a day even if its just to walk around your yard and look at plants! Have fun!

I am also a mom to a 10 month old baby. I do not think it's bad for her. But I do think that she could benefit from being outdoors. Where I live it's cold out, so she is not out too much. But when I do take her out (which is few times a week) she loves it! she stares at the sky and the birds. She smiles at everything she see's. maybe try to just step out onto the porch for a few minutes a day with her. Fresh air is good for babies. Try to take her outside when it is the warmest part of the day. 9if it is cold where you live) I am sure that she will love being outside, even if it is just for 10 minutes. Good luck

I think you should get your child outside at least once a day. When you get home, go on a walk. On the weekends, go to the park. They need to see what the outside world looks like.
