So you have a triangle that is 12m across with a 70° at the top, which is the equivalent of two right triangles 6m at the base and with a 35° opposite. The sine is the ratio of side opposite to the hypotenuse and is 0.573576436 for 35° , so we divide 6m by this to get 10.46 and add the overhang of 0.3m to get 10.76m
