I have lived in a haunted house and it never bothered me. People who visited me were very frightened, but I never felt anything that threatening. The spirits manifested themselves in many different ways. But it was not like something you would see in a scary movie. In fact it was rather peaceful.
I've enclosed a link to a website that might help you.
Best wishes,

1. Remain calm and try to find a natural explanation for the occurrence(s). This is very important as the human senses are often fooled. I know this is easier said than done; however, in my experiences as a Paranormal Investigator I have not encountered a haunting or ghost that I would classify as "Demonic" or "Evil". The majority of hauntings are referred to as "residual" which is a haunting that is imprinted and plays over like a movie. The "ghost" does not interact with the living nor is it aware that we are even there.
2. If you honestly believe that your house is haunted, take control. Talk to the "ghost", do not yell or scream, speak calmly and clearly. Explain that it is your home now and you do not approve of its actions in your home. Ask the "ghost" to please stop whatever it is that it is doing that is irritating or frightening members of the household. If you wish for the "ghost" to leave please do hesitate to state that. More often than not this will take care of it (although some are a little stubborn and may need to be told a couple of times before it leaves). ***Please note that this will not work on a residual haunting as it is imprinted in the atmosphere. I personally believe that these types of hauntings can fade over time but do not believe that they can be "cleansed" or "removed" from your home.
3. Keep a log/journal of events.
The log/journal should include but is not limited to:
Date
Time of Occurrence
Weather Conditions
Who was in the residence at the time?
Who experienced the occurrence?
What did you experience?
Did you smell anything unusual or out of place?
Where there any noises? If so what did it sound like?
Where did the occurrence take place? (was there a specific location? i.e.: a closet in the master bedroom)
Did you try to recreate the occurrence? If so what steps did you take?
By keeping a log of events this will help us pinpoint a possible pattern to the activity and where the activity occurs most often.

Need more info. Do you just see things, or do they interact with you (move things, etc). Do you feel cold spots in the house or feel afraid when you go into a part of the house? Some are just like photographs or memories. It's like they occupied the same space you're in , but at a different time. They are not aware of you. Then you have what I have right now which I call playful poltergeists. They move little things, then move them back, play a radio in another room, etc. We kind of like each other. They tried to scare away my ex who was abusing me. If you feel cold or fear, it' could be evil. Get rid of these by any means you can, or move. Even if you move they could follow you. E-mail me if I can help.

Find a person who can help you in finding out your house is really haunted and if so, how to work with the spirits or disperse them.

It is very difficult to tell if a house is haunted. Or it the spirits are just passing thru... You have to be more clear as to what is happening in your home to have someone say for sure ok.................

You'll need to either find someone who deals with these things or move. Don't try to do anything yourself, it can be very dangerous to mess around with something you don't know about.
