You didn't mention 250 in which currency.

Let's assume that it's US$250. With that kind of sum, you can buy more than 1 gold coin. You can combine an old gold coin, for example an uncirculated King George V British Sovereign(0.2354 troy oz gold), with a modern gold bullion coin, for example an American Eagle 1/10 oz gold. Or, spend the entire budget on a nicely circulated Coronet or Indian Head Quarter Eagle. Or one of those nice old gold coins from Europe. Do some searching on web, or visit a reliable coin dealer for opinions.

Go on E-bay and spend the whole £250 and get yourself a nice 1oz of Troy gold. South African Krugerrand. Good investment and you will always get your money back quickly in tme of need of required.

try searchin for the kruger coin, its some south african ish from the mints, quite affordable, im sure if yu run a search on the net yu'd get a list of retail outlets..good luck!
