Push the PrtSc key on your keyboard to take a picture of the entire screen. Or, push Alt+PrtSc key to take a picture of only the active window.
Go into Word, Paint, Photoshop, or whatever you like, and paste it by choosing Paste from the Edit menu.

hit the Print Screen/SysRq key--usually on the top row of your keyboard. paste the image using Ctrl+V or the paste command from a menu!
use Alt+PrintScreen to only copy the active window!

You need a program like ACDsee, that allows you to copy a screen shot and save and email it, even add text etc using the editor. There are many programs available to do a screen grab, not sure if there are any that are free ware, SnagIt, is another one, search for screen capture software.

On your keyboard in the right hand corner next to the scroll lock button is a button called:
"Print Screen".
After you press that, go to Start---->Programs---->
Applications---->Paint
Press on Edit--->Paste.
The screen you took a picture of will appear.
