It went live a few weeks ago. However, the program is not yet supported by many online banking and investing firms.... so I consider it BETA

it depends on which version you choose to download. There is almost always a beta version of Internet Explorer where you the end user test the next version that is getting ready to come out. If you prefer not to use the beta you can always download the last complete version of the browser.
