I sometimes have this problem too, and most often, it is because my computer is overloaded. The Sims 2 takes up a lot of memory on your computer, so it runs slowly if you have other windows open while you are trying to play the game or something. The best way to fix it is to restart your computer and then reopen the Sims. It should work fine after that. Good luck!

that's going to try this in case your working the sport, or a sparkling strengthen %. for the 1st time... to velocity it up you would be able to desire to - - close all courses at a similar time as working sims 2 - eliminate a number of your tensechronic memory area - Wait.. in case you wait next time you bypass on sims 2 that's going to in all danger not load returned, if it does take an prolonged time returned you will desire to attempt downloading the sims 2 patch on the internet internet site.. (type it in on google) wish this helps :)

sims takes up TONS of space on your computer, so if you have added even any programs since the last time you've played or even saved something kinda big to your computer, it could be causing the game to slow down. i had to get an entirely new computer for my sims 2 game because my old computer didn't have enough space on it for the game. it's crazy, but if you delete EVERYTHING you don't need off your computer, it'll probably run better. hope this helps!

All I can say is that happened to me, and when it finally resolved they spoke nothing but spanish. There was no way to change it, even though I followed the directions and tried it and reinstalled in 500 times. It made me mad. Waste of money.

Check to make sure your comp has the proper specifications to run it (it should be in the instruction book, or on a website). If so, try defragmenting your hard drive.
