Do Not Douche!! Douching is never a good idea, and it is especially a bad idea if you may have an infection. Douching actually predisposes you to all sorts of infections, as it upsets the natural protective bacterial flora of the vagina.

If the odor is fishy and accompanied by a gray-white thin discharge, it is likely bacterial vaginosis. You must go to your doctor for proper diagnosis, and they will prescribe an antibiotic (either vaginal clindamycin or oral flagyl). This is a very common infection!

First, every woman has her own vaginal odor. And most men find it to be an aphrodisiac.

If your odor has changed though, it might mean that you have an infection of some type. Read the following links, and SEE YOUR DOCTOR, ASAP. Your fertility could depend on it.

DONT DOUCHE!.. it wont get rid of the vaginal odor at all... it will just get rid of it.. for a little while.. then the next day it will come back due to the face that bacteria is causing the odor! so i recommend you making a Dr. Appt. so you can get a pap smear so they can see what the problem is!. good luck!

You probably have bacterial vaginosis. This is caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the vagina. You would need a prescription to clear it up. If not treated it can be harder to get rid of, and can cause pre term labor if you become pregnant. If it's not bv then it could be clamydia which casues infertility if untreated. Either way you NEED to make a doctors appointment. Both are problems that don't clear up on there own. Good luck!

Well that depends, if it is a yeast infection then go get the right things to clean it up down there. If it just normal odor, don't worry all girls have it. Now if it is something else, go seek immediate attention.

First i recommend you to find out what is causing that. But the, you could have a yeast infection. I recommend you use vagisal it helps. Or you can use a vaginal wash commonly found in drug stores or walmart. But find out what is causing it. Oh yeah, to stop it i recommend you not to wear tight clothing...and change to a cotton type of panties if your using anything but cotton.

You could just have some bacteria.
Eating yogurt increases the good bacteria that fights the bad.
Also don't wear tight clothes and always wear cotton panties for better ventilation. One good tip is to not wear underwear to bed.

By the way- NEVER EVER DOUCHE! It should be banned from the shelves. Just ask your doctor- douching is bad and will CAUSE infection.

i have read that douching is actually really bad for you and can cause infection. i would just keep yourself clean by having a shower once a day. you may have a yeast infection, in which case using a cream would probably be a good idea. maybe ask your doctor.

Probably a bacterial infection. You have to get an Rx, probably flagyl to make it go away. Yeast infections rarely smell, so its probably bacterial.
