as stupid as I am, i've lost my CD for puting itunes onto my ipod nano. is there a program you can download for free, that will allow me to put tracks on the ipod cause just dragging the files onto the thing just aint workin'. I also seem to remember the CD that I used to install from required my serial number on the back of the thing too - dunno why, thought it might be important to mention that incase the CD is only compatible with that certain device.

no when it asks you for the serial number on the iPod, it is if you want to register your iPod. just download iTunes from apple.com. the iTunes on apple is free. also you don't have to drag and drop songs. if you don't have your iPod set on "manually manage music"
