It's not half, but just the top of his middle finger.
It's not that noticeable unless you are looking for it, and he is really good at hiding it.
You'll notice, he has his hands in his pockets a lot.
He apparently had a door slam on it when he was real young.
(ouch)

Missing part of his middle finger on his right hand, this is due to an unfortunate door-shutting accident in nursery school.
