There are copyright issues with doing that. You will only find classics on the web (old enough to be past the copyright)

No. You need to be a university or college student with access to your library's website which has a fee, and then you can only get them while you are on campus. This is only because they catalogue their entire book collection. If they put books on the internet, there would be absolutely no income for future or current writers.

=/ most likely no. Most of the time books that are full online have been translated by a fan/fans and aren't available translated, but in raws. An example of this is the Suzumiya Haruhi books (http://project.baka-tsuki.net//index.php?title=Suzumiya_Haruhi)
Your best bet is the library.

I know there's at least one book you can do that with, a novel that came out in the early '80's called, Superman: Last Son of Krypton, by Elliot S. Maggin.

Project Gutenberg is an on-line book catalog with over 20,000 books you can download. They are basically a digital library. But I don't know if they have the books you are looking for. I know they have classics but it is worth a try.

I think the best that you can do without being on a college campus is a website called dailylit.com. There they will email you a new chapter to read every day

You do have to pay for them like any other book, but you could look into e-books: http://www.ebooks.com/
