In my bio class, we put an egg in vinegar, and another in a little vinegar and a LOT of corn syrup. The egg in corn syrup decreased in masss, and osmosis occured. Since it decreased in mass, we know that the corn syrup was a hypertonic solution. I have to write a paper on the second egg, and what all occured while it was decreasing in mass. I'M LOST! Can someone help?

Just write that. Using that experiment, you can also say that the egg may have some amount of acid in it and that is why in weak acid, the water content in the egg did not diffuse out.

However when you added that into a corn syrup, the sugar content is way more than the egg and so the water diffused out. The addition of vinegar did not change the fact that water still diffused out.

I saw 2 more observations through your little experiment. Look closely, maybe those are not what you want but this is what I see from your experiment. Having prior knowledge is good but surely some other stuffs can be deduced as well.
