I got mood swings really bad. And I spent the whole time yelling at my husband or crying because I did not know why I was yelling. Don't worry it won't last long just a few more weeks maybe. Tell her she is pretty and buy her her favorite candy. Good luck!

Well, it's not all in her head, it's mood swings due to hormonal changes (which are worse between weeks 6 and 12), when her body is producing all the extra hormones that your baby needs to grow and survive, while the placenta is not quite ready to take over this surplus. IT may last for the first weeks, or for the hole pregnancy.
The best you can do to cope with this is to try to follow the flow. When she gets irritated, don't blame her, just think about all that's happening inside her, and try to be understanding. If you respond in an aggressive/unpleasant way, it will make the situation worse.
On my first pregnancy I got it with my dad. On my second one I even got to throw things to my husband (I have never been like that!), and with the thirst one I just loose my temper quite easy! When I am not pregnant, I am usually very calm and patient.
I know it's difficult, but do your best to be patient!
Good luck!

I am currently 23 weeks with Baby #3 and it seems that my mood swings are controlling me. With my other 2 children it only lasted till I was 15 weeks, but this time it doesn't seem like it is getting any better at all. My hubby and my kids are driving me crazy and the smallest things set me off. A pregnant woman can not control what their hormones are doing, so just go with the flow and tell her everything is ok. At night give her full body massages to help her relax, my hubby does this and I feel better.

Haha wow. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. And having the same troubles with my boyfriend. First of all, us women have many changes going through our bodies when pregnant. We aren't used to that much hormones in us. We tend to overrexagerate or be a little bitchy. But be patient we are trying really hard to keep the baby healthy and such. Try to talk to her about it in a calm matter. If it doesn't help, just be there for here. Hnag in there boy, good luck.

You need to discuss this with her. Yes, her hormones are raging already...(it does happen this early), but it doesn't give her the right to make you feel like leaving her! Talk to her gently and explain how you feel. Yelling and getting her upset is not the answer. Try to explain to her that you understand her body is changing and she may feel emotions she's never had before, but it is affecting you and your relationship with her. I hope for the both of you that you work this out. You made a child together, and that is a beautiful thing! If all else fails, try speaking with her doctor...he might be able to talk to her in a professional light instead of you looking like the bad guy. Good luck.

Yikes.. first of all since she is your wife and you obviously love her you should be a little more understanding. Yes pregnancy can make you bitchy. Her hormones are out of whack and she cant help that! I was very moody my first couple months and it has subsided now (5 months). I hope she never hears you say its making you not want to be with her.. very harsh! She is going through a lot right now physically and emotionally and you should be nothing but supportive.

Just be patient with her... it is just hormones. I went through the exact same thing and probably drove my poor husband crazy, but the mood swings only lasted a short while and now we are both enjoying the pregnancy very much. In a few months this will all seem like a distant memory.
