I'm suppose to do an essay on how Victor's irresponsibility lead to his downfall.

Can anyone please give some good points or something? THANKS!

Just beacuse you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD. (Like Jurassic Park!)
Victor was repulsed by his own creation when he saw it come to life. MAybe he could have killed it- but no. It wanders off, and manages to get an education.

The educated monster than comes back to haunt him.

Well hopefull you know he is fictional. His downfall was his passion to succeed at all costs. Ultimately though it was Igors mistake that caused the awakening of the vicious unmanagable brute. Victor Frankenstein was like many scientists and doctors who put zeal in front of all other cares to achieve greatness . Its all about ego.
