and when i hook it up to the computer its still wont respond what is going on ?

I've had this happen to me before. You just need to reset the Ipod.

Here's how (for newer Ipods):

1). Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2). Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Slightly different if you have an older Ipod.

make sure its not on hold

then flick it back and forth like 5 times
(then make sure its still not hold)

if that doesnt work hold the menu button down for like 20 seconds and it should reset

Reset it...hold menu and circle button for like 20-30 sec...apple logo will appear and reset

you hold menu button for 10-20 seconds and hook up to computer immediatly!!!

i believe in case you press menu and play/pause mutually for 6 seconds, it is going to reboot. If some different person says a distinct blend, they are probable precise. i have not had to do the reboot for a lengthy time period.

If that doesn't work plug it back up to your computer.

drain the battery and then charge it and put it back on. its just a guess
